"All
too often our life becomes a routine of unproductive, meaningless labor
without real passion or purpose. As a detective in determining what precedes
both health and dis-ease, I have noted a trend of attitude and behavior
that leads to health, happiness and fulfillment or in contrast to distress,
dis-ease and unhappiness. I appreciate that Bob Knowlton has the background
and insight to establish this website which will serve as a resource to
refocus ourselves on what is of most importance. The OLC Website has active
steps which may lead us to reach abundance in our lives. May we always
remember our true potential and share with others all that have assisted
us in our pursuit of happiness."

There
was a child that went forth every day, And the first object that
he looked upon, that object he became, And that object became
a part of him for the day or a certain part of that day,
Or for many years or stretching cycles of years.

Our life's clock only has so much time on it. What are
the most important things we should focus our time on? Important things
like family, business, friends, associates, fun, health and productivity
come to mind. How can I become more aware of opportunities and expand
life-enhancing possibilities? How can I increase my ability to help make
the lives of others better and more fulfilling? I can't remember a time
in my life when I haven't had a passion for discovering and awakening
to exciting, life-enhancing insights that answer these questions.
Sometimes
the process for arriving at the point of transition either personal or
in business can unfortunately be a long and arduous journey, but it doesn't
have to be, and it shouldn't be. In fact when positive transition takes
place it is instantaneous. It is only the process of getting to point
of transition that uses up a significant portion of life's clock.

Our Character
Matters eWorkshop focuses and heightens our attention and ability
to make important changes in our lives. This eWorkshop is the result of
more than 25 years of insight gained through applied learning and leadership
experience.
Our Character
Matters eWorkshop sessions have been conducted and successfully applied
in several diverse situations which have included small and medium sized
companies and a fortune 500 company. They are proven to be highly effective
for achieving results that build an exciting, personal foundation quickly,
that energizes and sustains interdependence and creates the right conditions
and authenticity of purpose for achieving things considered to be most
important.
These sessions
exact specific life-enhancing thoughts and resulting outcomes. They push
for self-discovery of unique personal qualities that are within easy reach.
These sessions work effectively and quickly because they use principles
and ideas that simplify things in our life that we have previously mistaken
to be more complex than they really are.
Our Character
Matters eWorkshop is fun and energizing to work with, reawakening
us to things that have the greatest importance to us. Through participating
in these sessions comes the realization that our conversion to focusing
on achieving the things of most importance to us has a direct positive
influence on every aspect of our lives, family, business, friends, associates,
fun, health and productivity. When our model defining what is most important
is muddied and unclear the results are the opposite of this positive impact.
During the
process of completing each of these eWorkshop Sessions, you will find
that your view of yourself and others will become different and enhanced.
Your personal and family life will be more focused on things of most importance.
Your strategic view of business will be changed. You will gain a renewed
understanding that activities aligned with high values result in increased
overall productivity. You will develop and implement deeper meaning, more
effective and expansive vision. Your strategic planning preparation will
be "abundance, reality, and execution-based". You will experience
a fresh, exciting and energizing personal focus gained through remembering
and becoming reacquainted with what is really important and acting upon
that remembrance. These sessions open the door effectively for this discovery.
I
have been asked the following three questions on numerous occasions:
Who
should participate in the Our Character Matters eWorkshop for Personal
Enhancement & Transition?
Who
would benefit the most from participating in Our Character Matters
eWorkshop for Personal Enhancement & Transition?
Who
would benefit the quickest from participating in Our Character Matters
eWorkshop for Personal Enhancement & Transition?
My
answer to each of these questions is every person, leader, and business
will benefit from participating in Our Character Matters eWorkshop!
I have also
been asked Is there some kind of secret about how Our Character
Matters eWorkshop for Personal Enhancement & Transition works?
There is no secret. Simply stated there is a powerful, uplifting,
teaching source available to everyone that creates and sustains personal
excellence. Unfortunately, most of us for uncountable reasons have literally
through our choices transitioned away from, restricted and even shut this
source off.
Our Character
Matters eWorkshop for Personal Enhancement & Transition use simple
common-sense techniques designed to rethink, rediscover, reacquaint, recapture
and turn this most essential wonderful source back on effectively and
quickly.
This session
from the Our Character Matters eWorkshop is the first of ongoing
monthly sessions that progressively focus on achieving quick life-enhancing
transition. Concepts from this sample session and each of the following
monthly sessions in their simplicity are powerful, inciting personal thoughts
and activities that open the door to self-discovery, new opportunities,
and possibilities. These sessions WORK!

Something Is Wrong
When
underachievement becomes an acceptable choice and standard that we can
live with, something is wrong. When our thoughts, interests,
choices, and activities dont align with high core values and beliefs
that we know to be important and correct, something is wrong.
When treating others disrespectfully becomes a habit, something
is wrong. When having great character is no longer important,
something is wrong.
Have you
ever thought about the many choices we make each day that have either
a positive or negative impact on our life and the lives of those we love
and chose to associate with? Some choices we make are relatively unimportant
and have little consequence. However, many choices we make daily are highly
complex, critically important, impacting our families, friendships and
businesses in very specific ways.
Our choices
are directed by the dictating substance of our character. Our character
choices literally create realities, powerful behaviors and significant
consequences that have a positive or negative impact on every aspect of
our lives. Our choices impact leadership style, perception and effectiveness.
Our real ability to help and benefit others successfully is also impacted
ultimately by our character choices.
There is
a major influencing difference between people with contrary character-types.
We have all met and been influenced by people with great character. We
have also, unfortunately, been around and influenced by people who had
less than great character. Think about the effect these opposing character-type
individuals had on you. How did the substance of their character and decision-making
affect you? How did they affect goal setting? How did they affect your
motivation and desire to accomplish important objectives? How did they
affect your creativity? How did their influence affect your lifes
highest perspective of potential, possibility, and opportunity?
Greatness
is achieved when the character of an individual influences the character
of another to seek and actualize self-improving goals and excellence.
These luminaries stand-out because their choices focus intuitively on
the well-being of others, inspiring them consequently to seek the same.
They choose to set high standards for achievement. They choose to align
their personal activities with high values and beliefs. These are the
ones who lift us and inspire us to seek and live with greater purpose.
They buoy our spirits with contagious enthusiasm. These are the ones who
have discovered and travel lifes higher road. They choose to associate
with others who travel this higher road. They choose to make room for,
encourage, teach and invite others to discover and travel the higher road
with them. In other words, greatness gives cause to others by encouraging
and motivating others to realize their greatest potential by seeking,
focusing on learning, improving and achieving together the most abundant,
and important objectives.
The substance
of greatness reflects a unique and clear understanding of how applied
values and purpose impact actual and potential quality and performance
for self and others. Common characteristics of greatness are a highly
defined sense of integrity, purpose and value combined with ability to
define, create and execute desirable outcomes for objectives of greatest
importance. The influence of giving and receiving through the positive
power of sharing high personal purpose, qualities and values significantly
raises overall expectation and productivity. Greatness recognizes that
creating and achieving the
level of this type of interdependent foundation supported by shared vision
and value is critical to identifying and executing the lifes most
purposeful objectives.

Our Company has successfully developed and marketed the most sophisticated
laser technology in the world, but at the same time, we have failed to
develop an equally important sense of ability and reality, that is, to
ask ourselves and answer the critical questions that will strategically
ensure our future competitiveness and survival in the marketplace.
Are we prepared to make change?
Do we know what to change?
Will we create change that will have a long-term positive impact
